Meeting Will Focus on the Transition to Digital Television (DTV) and the FCC’s October 2007 Filing Window for Non-commercial Educational (NCE) Radio Stations

This is a free opportunity to learn from experts about obtaining an affordable educational radio license and station that is essential to tribal community building, economic development, public safety, and cultural preservation, because it gives tribes a mechanism in which to share its information and other educational programming with the whole community at once.

It has been over 10 years since the FCC has licensed new radio stations, the FCC will only be accepting applications between the dates of October 12 and 19, 2007 for Non-commercial educational (NCE) licenses.  This workshop is designed to help tribes learn about the processes and opportunity for media ownership.
